Caribbean Island Excursion Catalina

CATALINA is a beautiful, white sandy island located in front of the southeast coast of the Dominican Republic. Catalina is a preservation of ecosystems with natural sand dunes, mangroves and reefs. It’s situated 1.5mi/ 2.4km from the mainland. It features one of the Dominican Republic’s most spectacular drop-off’s and reefs, the Santa Catalina Wall and Aquarium Reef.

Enjoy a full day trip around Isla Catalina to dive or snorkel at one of the world’s most spectacular walls and reefs, bustling with an abundance of marine life and beautiful corals.

You reach the island via a 30-minute boat journey departing from Bayahibe’s pier. This destination remains undiscovered by numerous tour operators and tourists. The beach enjoys complete shelter from the wind, allowing the Caribbean Sea to reflect like a pristine, crystal-clear mirror.

A chain of rocks forms a natural outcrop within the sea of about 500 meters. On the surface, the sea has eroded those rocks to the point where a snorkeler can be in the water but under the rocks.

However, we won’t actually step onto Catalina island. Instead, we aim to optimize your time in the area, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the breathtaking vistas along the Chavon River, where we’ll also enjoy our lunch.

Face the sun, soak in the backdrop of tropical melodies, and simply unwind in the midst of this captivating Caribbean haven.
