Astron Wreck

In Brief: Off Punta Cana´s coast lies the Astron shipwreck, a 127 m/ 139 yards long and 27,990 tons heavy freighter, initially owned by Russia, that ran aground during her trip to Cuba during a storm on 7 April 1978, and broke apart into two pieces with the bow above the water and the stern underwater.
