As some of you might be aware, our dear friend and colleague Dr. Erich Ritter sadly and unexpectedly passed away in 2020. His team under Heike Schönthal will continue his legacy:

Over the past 7 years, I’ve spent my vacation traveling with Dr. Erich Ritter who shared his comprehensive knowledge about sharks with all participants of his SharkSchool. During this time I learnt a lot from him about interacting with those animals. Dr. Erich Ritter (+ 2020) was a globally recognized behavioral scientist specializing in shark-human interaction. Since 2017, I’ve worked with him in the SharkSchool®Teaching association and keep passing on his legacy, knowledge and vision on many travel adventures. Throughout my diving career, I’ve encountered a variety of sharks in Mexico (Yucatan and Guadalupe), the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Egypt, the Azores, the Maldives, the Philippines and the Mediterranean Sea.
