1. COZUMEL
Cozumel is considered to be one of the best diving spots in the world. Located in the Caribbean Sea, just 12 miles from Yucatan Peninsula, Cozumel is a teardrop-shaped coral island. Marvelous marine life, stunning coral reefs, warm water, pristine beaches and excellent underwater visibility are the features that make this place so special. The reef system around the island is a part of the Mesoamerican reef system and is protected by the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park.
2. CENOTES

In Yucatan Peninsula you will find spectacular freshwater cave systems called
Cenotes. These amazing sinkholes surrounded by tropical jungle attract thousands of divers all year round to Riviera Maya. There are so many different kinds of cenotes – some of them are open, the other ones are caves or caverns with stalagmite and stalactite formations. They are not only perfectly tailored for experienced scuba divers but also for novice divers and snorkelers.
3. MESOAMERICAN BARRIER REEF SYSTEM
Cozumel is part of the Mesoamerican barrier reef system, the second largest coral reef in the world. This area is a home to more than 65 species of stony coral, 350 species of mollusk and more than 500 species of fish. There can be encountered Hawksbill Turtles, Green Moray Eels, Smooth Trunkfish, Glassy Sweepers and many more.
4.WRECK DIVING
For those who enjoy the thrill of wreck diving experience, there are few places to explore. Among others,
Mama Viña is the famous shrimp boat that sunk in 1995. It has maximum 27 meters/90 feet depth.
5. WHALE SHARK SAFARI

Another good reason to come to Mexico between June and September is
Whale Shark Safari. Every year, whale sharks migrate all the way to Isla Contoy in the north of the Yucatan Peninsula to feed on the plankton in the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea. This is definitely summer highlight and amazing experience of swimming with the largest fish in the ocean.
6. DIVING WITH BULL SHARKS

An unforgettable experience for advanced divers is definitely
diving with bull sharks. Every year during the winter months (Dec – Mar) when the water temperature drops a little, between 2 to 10 of those solitary hunters can be usually seen in the area of Playa del Carmen. Divers can enjoy this thrilled and fantastic experience by taking a closer look at these incredible creatures.

7. SAILFISH RUN SAFARI

Pure action awaits during Pro Dive International´s world-class
Sailfish Run Safari. This a perfect chance meet the world´s fastest fish for its powerful sardine hunt! Being around deep blue waters beyond Contoy Island in the Golf of Mexico, where Sailfish can be encountered as soon as the water temperature drops during the months of December till March, offering an increased quantity of food in the approximately 23 degree cold nourished water.
